Building global investment portfolios
Portfolio construction and risk management
The Japan Global Investment Workshop is a gathering of the most influential Japanese pension funds, insurance companies, trust banks and investment advisers. The Workshop examines the challenges facing Japanese investors and seeks to identify the best investment opportunities available to them.
Investors who are able to effectively manage risk, identify new investment ideas and form strong relationships both domestically and internationally, whilst running a dynamic portfolio, will be well positioned to capture strong returns despite difficult market conditions.
All discussions at the Workshop are governed by Chatham House Rule. The event is closed to media and by invitation only to senior fund decision-makers. This ensures open and productive discussions with an effective exchange of ideas among peers.

With an incomparable perspective on the city and a singular, moat-side setting just opposite the Imperial Palace gardens, Palace Hotel Tokyo is a haven of hospitality – serene and refined, and imbued with understated luxury throughout.
Paying homage to a legacy that dates back more than half a century, the completely reimagined modern masterpiece is a sophisticated celebration of its country’s culture and a tribute to omotenashi – Japanese hospitality.
The Workshop enabled delegates to discuss deeply about the themes and topics relevant to their own organisations.
