26th Annual European Pensions Symposium

Feb 7th - Feb 9th 2018
The Westin Palace
Madrid
About

The long standing success of this event is based on consultation with, and participation from, senior pension fund investment officials. The programme is driven by an expert Advisory Board of pension funds, insurers and foundations to ensure discussions are most relevant to the issues the pension industry are currently facing.

I really enjoyed the event and the chance to talk to the other funds in the P20 sessions.

— Tony Broccardo, CIO, Barclays, United Kingdom

Agenda

THE FUTURE IS NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE - ALLOCATING INTO THE NEXT INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION
Peer group discussion and learning for European Institutional Investors

How can long term institutional investors future proof their investment portfolios? This question has never been more important as the world stands on the brink of a science, technology, and engineering powered revolution which some experts believe will rival the industrial revolution in its upheaval. In a world where manufacturing will be even more automated and vehicles self-driving, how will government raise taxes, and where will blue collar workers be employed? At the same time the world faces widely differing demographic challenges, as the rich world gets older and the emerging economies unleash a wave of youthful labour. The 2018 European Pensions Symposium will ask how these changes will impact fixed income, equity, real estate and alternatives portfolios. What will characterize the winners and losers of the future, and how can we start preparing today?
