The Evolving Role of Hedge Funds in a New Landscape
Institutional Investor Forums' 11th Annual Hedge Fund Leadership Council (Formerly the Hedge Fund Investor Symposium) will explore multiple developments that are evolving in the hedge fund terrain. The program will address the desire for hedge funds and their clients to become true partners in order to meet targeted objectives and to avoid unexpected results. We will question how investors use hedge funds in their portfolios, its increasing complexity and approach to overall risk reduction, diversification, and more customized allocations for individual mandates. The Council will address how these trends will impact hedge funds in terms of their management, investment opportunities and operational infrastructure. The panel and discussions will seek to clarify investor’ expectations for returns, and how they are approaching potential market dislocations in the post-2008 investment environment. The educational sessions will provide informed insights, stimulate debate and foster better understanding between hedge funds and their clients.
